RCEN’s Project Read Meeting

As we prepare for the Rotary Year 2026–2027, RCEN’s Project Read initiative will be hosting an important meeting focused on reorganizing, reigniting, and strengthening the program for the future.   This meeting marks the first major re-engagement effort for Project Read in quite some time, and we are seeking dedicated Rotarians who are willing to support the initiative and serve on a new Board as we work to take Project Read to the next level.   Many of you are aware that Project Read has continued under the committed leadership of Rotarian Gary Sweeting, who has done a tremendous job carrying the initiative forward, often with very limited support. We are sincerely grateful for his dedication and service. However, Project Read now needs additional committed volunteers to help carry the load and expand its impact within our community.   This meeting will provide members with an opportunity to learn more about: The current operations of Project Read Its impact and existing clients Its structure and finances Opportunities for growth and leadership involvement
  We also encourage members to attend with an open mind, receive the information shared, and return to a follow-up meeting in a few weeks with innovative ideas and recommendations for the way forward.   We look forward to your support, participation and leadership as we work together to strengthen this important initiative and further Rotary’s commitment to literacy and education within our community.   Yours in Rotary Service
