SUMMARY:Cleanup at Rotarian Ken Lam's House
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Rotary Club of West Nassau to help a fellow Rotarian in need. This Saturday starting at 8 am we will be doing a cleanup at Rotarian Ken Lam’s home\, in an effort to assist his wife Cheryl while she is going through this difficult time.  PP William Wong has secured a dumpster for us to use\, and is in contact with Ken’s son to coordinate the effort.  The work will largely consist of us clearing the yard of weeds and debris\, as well as whatever heavy tasks Cheryl needs taken care of. Ken Lam was a past president of West\, an architect\, and very quiet\, gentle\, kind but hard working Rotarian. He\, his wife and daughter who was visiting from Canada\, were in a car accident in December and so his wife is recovering from that in midst of this.  They will have chicken souse available for volunteers. Please attend so that we can have show our support as East Nassau.

SUMMARY:Holiday Outreach ~ All Saints Camp
DESCRIPTION:Dear Rotarians\, The Rotary Club of East Nassau and Rotaract Club of East Nassau are joining efforts for an outreach project this coming Saturday December 10th\, 2022 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the All Saint Camp.  This exciting project has multiple layers as we will be donating 1) Food items to fill their pantry\, 2) Adult and Children Books to fill their Library\, 3) Gently used clothes and shoes for all residents\, 4) Toys for the children\, and 5) Beautifying the premises by painting a building.  We have our work cut out for us\, and we need your support. For your information\, the All Saints Camp is a nonprofit organization that provides a refuge for persons living with HIV and AIDS.  The facility is privately run by dedicated volunteers\, and currently houses forty (40) adults and thirty-seven (37) children.  It relies on the generous donations from organizations like Rotary and others. Since October Rotarians have been placing donations in the “Give Life & Give Love” box at our weekly meetings.  We have received thus far; cash\, nonperishable food items\, toys\, and gently used clothes and shoes.  This coming Friday is your last chance to give\, as everything received will be donated on Saturday to the All Saints Camp in addition to the other provisions being donated by RCEN. Rotaract will be leading the charge with the beautification part of the project.  They are excited and ready to paint! Please register so that we know how many of you will be attending.  Specific directions to the Camp will be provided later to all registrants.  Thanks in advance for your support.
