DESCRIPTION:Dear Rotarians\, The Rotary Club of East Nassau is joining forces with all Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas for a joint-club initiative this coming Saturday\, September 30th at the Bahamas National Trust (BNT)\, Village Road. The initiative is to clean up and plant trees as a precursor for the international event to be conducted in late October during the Zone 33-34 Action Summit.  RCOB and the BNT are expecting over 100 Rotarians to be out on Saturday\, and we surely want East Nassau to represent a great amount of participants. We need all hands on deck to help where needed\, to either help assemble shutters\, paint shutters\, read to some of the area kids and help with cleanup. Bring your tools\, gloves\, saftey googles and gear and let’s show them the power of Rotarians in action. SUMMARY:The Ranfurly Homes 1st annual golf tournament.
DESCRIPTION:The Ranfurly Homes for Children is hosting their first annual golf tournament on July 9th\, 2023 from 11am to 5pm at the Ocean Club golf course. The Ranfurly Homes is under ever increasing financial pressures to keep the day to day operations of their very critical service up and running and as such decided to host this tournament as a way to raise some much needed additional funds. They have reached out to The Rotary Club of East Nassau to assist them with volunteers for the event. It’s a great day for volunteering as it’s the Sunday before our Independence holiday and what better way to render service by helping out those children in the home. This will be one of the first service projects under our New President\, Christian Knowles term\, and one of his mandates for this year is to try and do one service project every weekend. If you have some time then please volunteer\, or if you would be more inclined to play in the tournament the application form is also attached. We’re looking forward to seeing as many Rotarians out to help out such a worthy cause. They really do need our help especially for their very first tournament.
