The program is run by Rotarian and Member Stephanie Frith\, President and Executive Director of the initiative.  It is an eight-week interactive session for young girls ages 5 to 18. DESCRIPTION:RCEN COMMUNITY SERVICE SATURDAY   Dear [Group Name]\, We hope you are doing well. We are excited to announce our new initiative – Community Service Saturday! Starting next month\, we will dedicate the third Saturday of every month to giving back to our community through various service projects. What is Community Service Saturday? This is a day set aside each month where we\, as a group\, come together to volunteer and contribute to causes that matter to our community. Helping out at a senior / children’s home\, cleaning up a park\, or supporting an organization in need is a beautiful way to make a positive impact. Why are we doing this? We are Rotarians who pledge our “Service Above Self.”  WE know that community service helps those in need and fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose among us. By setting aside this time each month\, we’re committing to invest in the well-being of others and our surroundings. Do you know how you can get involved? If members of the club cannot attend the planned service project. We invite persons to select at least three or four members to join them with a service activity. More Suggestions::  Visit RCEN shut-ins or members who have not attended a meeting in a long time Cut a tree for a senior neighbour  or mow their lawn Volunteer at a hospital Plant a tree Start a Community back-yard farming Take a few children to a movie.   Rotary International is about building communities. Together\, we can make a real difference. Let’s come together\, roll up our sleeves\, and give back to the community that has given so much to us. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our next hands-on project\, scheduled for Saturday\, October 19\, 2024\, from 10 AM to 2 PM as part of RCEN Community Service Saturday. Project Overview: We’ll be painting the inside courtyard of the Elizabeth Estates Children’s Home\, a place with a rich history and vital mission. About the Home: The Home was officially opened in 1992  by the Bahamas government. In partnership with the Anglican Diocese\, the home provides a safe\, nurturing environment for children in need. It was established to offer an alternative living space for children requiring care and has since become a vital resource in the community. We hope that many of our members will come out to assist in this meaningful project. It’s an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying fellowship and networking with other clubs who may be joining us. SUMMARY:RCEN Board Meeting - October 23 2024
DESCRIPTION:The monthly Board Meeting of the Rotary Club of East Nassau for 2024-2025 Rotary Year is scheduled for WEDNESDAY 23 OCTOBER\, 2024 (Please note day change for October). The meeting venue to be confirmed monthly is normally a Board member’s home\, or the Nassau Yacht Club.  The meeting time is normally from 6:30pm to 9:30pm\, with attendees encouraged to arrive by 6:00pm for fellowship.    Club members (including RAD and Rotaract) are always encouraged to attend Board meetings periodically.  This is an opportunity to see the Board in action\, learn what happens behind the scenes\, and participate/give feedback.   When hosted at a Board member’s home\, there will be limited space for 3 additonal club members to attend.  These 3 spots go to the first members registered.  Refreshments are provided\, therefore kindly inform the Club Secretary of any diet restrictions once you have registered. The Club Secretary will provide directions after successful registration.  ​ When hosted at the Nassau Yacht Club\, there is unlimited space for additional club members to attend.  Light beverages are provided. NYC dinner menu is available to attendees at individual cost.   Registration for the Board meeting is required by the 19th October\, 2024.  This is a strict deadline to allow the Board sufficient time to make preprarations for attendees.   The information above is subject to change.
