DESCRIPTION:A Rotary Million Dollar Dinner is a fundraiser evening where we invite donors who have recently made or pledge a contribution of $10\,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation to attend the dinner.  The Rotary Foundation is the charity arm of Rotary International\, a worldwide network of inspired individuals who translate their passions into relevant social causes to change lives in communities.   Donors who make an outright donation will be recognized as major donors\, while those who make a pledge through their will and/or estate planning will be admitted as members of the Bequest Society. Depending on their level of outright contribution\, major donors of $250\,000 or more will be admitted as members of Arch Klumph Society\, the Trustees Circle\, the Chair’s Circle\, or the Foundation Circle. They also will get an invitation to an induction ceremony at Evanston\, Illinois\, USA. All donors will receive an engraved crystal recognition piece. SUMMARY:RCEN Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The monthly Board Meeting of the Rotary Club of East Nassau for 2023-2024 Rotary Year is scheduled for the 4th Thursday monthly. (this is subject to change) The meeting venue to be confirmed monthly is normally a Board member’s home\, or the Nassau Yacht Club.  The meeting time is normally from 6:00pm to 9:00pm\, with attendees encouraged to arrive by 5:30pm for fellowship.   Club members (including RAD and Rotaract) are always encouraged to attend Board meetings periodically.  This is an opportunity to see the Board in action\, learn what happens behind the scenes\, and participate/give feedback.   When hosted at a Board member’s home\, there will be limited space for 3 additonal club members to attend.  These 3 spots go to the first members registered.   When hosted at the Nassau Yacht Club\, there is unlimited space for additional club members to attend.    Registration for the Board meeting is required by the deadline.  Registration normally closes 4 days before the meeting (Sunday of the meeting week).  This is a strict deadline to allow the Board sufficient time to make preprarations for attendees.  Diet restrictions or other concerns should be sent to the Club Secretary after successfully registering.
