Mangrove Propagule Collection Day
Rotary Club of South Ocean members, let’s make a difference together – again! ✨ We have another opportunity to work with the Perry Institute for Marine Science (PIMS) and the Bahamas Mangrove Alliance (BMA) to give back to our beautiful Bahamas. If you missed out before, here’s your chance to make a positive difference! 🙌🏼 Plan to come out on Saturday 18 October to help collect red mangrove propagules to restore hurricane-damaged ecosystems in Grand Bahama and Abaco as part of The Bahamas Mangrove Alliance’s mission to plant 300,000 mangroves by the end of the year. 🌱 💚 In the words of our Environment Co-Chair Solomon, “Rotarians know the value of service above self, and this project embodies that spirit. Let’s come together, roll up our sleeves, and make a positive difference in our community.” 💙 Location: Adelaide Cemetery (Adelaide Village, New Providence) Date: Saturday, Oct. 18th, 2025 Time: 9AM-11AM
